It will not prey on Pad Eee Eee PC Market

As a player in the mobile device market, Asus has two prima donnas: Eee Pad as a tablet and which is the netbook Eee Pc. In line with the increase in tablet users, whether the Eee PC market threatened 'inedible' Eee market Pad?

This was corrected by Rex Lee, Regional Director South East Asia Asus, APAC, in a talk at dinner time andi held at Sheraton Hotel Taipei, Taiwan, Tuesday (31/05/2011).

"Maybe in America and Europe are threatening tablet netbook market. But in other Asia, also Indonesia," he said.

He continued that at this time in Indonesia Eee PC (Asus netbook range) is still the second device in the left hand, in addition to the main PC devices. And this applies to users in the segment above.

Different things happen in the middle to lower segments, such as school and university students. They usually hang out all the tasks and purposes with a more easily portable netbook anywhere.

So when the question is whether the netbook will be replaced by a tablet, it did not. "Now think about a price of about Rp 2 million people already can buy a netbook, with all functions such as office, power point and so on. While the tablet above the price of netbooks, one has not been able to get comparable functionality," he added.

Essentially, the Eee PC Eee Pad and until now still has the market respectively. In Indonesia alone, the current tablet began booming. That's what makes the Asus so confident release tablet line like: Transformer Pad Eee, Eee Slider Pad, Pad Slate Eee, Eee 3D Memo Pad, or PadFone.
